TRANFERS......Sept 12th 2016

Alright so transfers are tomorrow..... sadly i am still staying another transfer... Joke lang i got the exact opposite of that.... I actually am White washing my new area and training... on top of that i will be the District Leader in the new area while training and on top of that... I will most likely get to learn a new language called Karay-a.... I am still trying to figure out Ilonggo still.... and honestly i am a bit nervous... cause i found out i was transferring but i just found out that i will be training and will be the District Leader for my area.... My new area is called Miagao it is in Iloilo but they speak a different language the farther up the mountain(bukid) you go.... so i don't know what to expect from this honestly.... cause i will probably get a white bata that was just like me cause i never really realized how bad the MTC was for learning a language cause it is very different out in the actual field....  but we will see how this goes!!!!! so ill let you know how this goes next week!!!! wish me luck!!!!! ðŸ¤”😓

I just wanna quickly say thank you for all that sent me emails saying happy birthday :) it meant a lot you guys!!! Birthdays are a bit weird out in the Mission but i had a good one and learned so much on my birthday cause we were at our Mission Tour. By the way super super super amazing i had a blast at it and got to learn so much about how i can help find more people here in my mission and to have a better mission and to just become a better person overall and one of the best things that stuck out to me a lot was that whether in the mission or after the mission that we should go through out our days as if Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ was walking right by our sides, because if we all have that mindset it helps us so much in just absolutely everything, our actions, words, thoughts, everything and it helps guide us and to make sure that we are always compatible to have the companion ship of the Holy Ghost and we will be able to understand and know more clearly when we receive answers and to help us develop more Christ like attributes and become more like our Father in Heaven and that Heavenly Father can make us into wonderful marvelous things but only if we let him. So we need to let him make us into those wonderful marvelous things that we can and will be we need to tell him that we are willing to let him guide us and make us into the things that we can be and that actually stood out more to me once i got my package and was able to read my patriarchal blessings that part actually stood out even more to me and i understood what it meant more and it was just interesting but i want you guys to just kind of ponder this and apply it to your life, have that mindset that everyday Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are walking right by your side and to just really open yourself up to Heavenly Father and let him make you into the marvelous thing he has made you to be.

Sunday, So actually Sunday was very interesting... So first like this was a huge shock to me but one of our less actives that i have never seen at church within the last 5 months and even since before i came into the mission came to Church for the first time!!!! i was honestly a bit shocked to see him there with his wife cause they are both less active but the tatay he has some more problems other than just being less active but not important right now but i just felt so happy to see him there cause we have been working with this family so hard to get them all to come to Church and seriously i just ahh i can't explain the feeling basta it was just amazing to see him and his wife and it wasn't like just come to Sacrament and then leave but the whole 3 hours he they stayed!!!! Also update so our investigator that i've been teaching since July has been progressing like crazy and   she actually has a date for the 24th to be Baptized :) and she has been working super hard to prepare herself for it and it is just amazing to see that ya it took awhile to get everything ready and to help her but i have seen the work that has payed off and see that she has truly been converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ... It is so hard to explain the feeling of sharing the Gospel with someone and seeing how it helps and changes their lives because it is just one of the most satisfying feelings to be able to do Missionary work and help people come closer unto Christ by receiving the Restored Gospel i am so thankful that we have this Gospel and to have it at it's fullest and to know so much... yes we learn something everyday but it always helps us whether we know it helped us right away or later in life God has a plan for us and he is always with us and watching over us and the field is white already to harvest. these words are some of the truest words i've heard here on my mission... I absolutely love Jacob 5 this is my assignment to you guys for this Family Home Evening to read Jacob 5 with the families and to break it down ponder it and talk about it with the families it is honestly a very inspirational story and we can learn so much from it!

Also random side note so i found out like last week that i have some weird like rash thing right between my shoulder blades... i have no idea what it is and haven't bothered to get it checked out yet but i had no idea i had it until one of the other Missionaries that lives in our apartment pointed it out to me... i had no idea it was there but it explains why right there has been itchy occasionally and when i scratched my back on the wall that it hurt and also my wrist is getting better still hurts from when i injured it but ya just a side note about how i am doing so far :) haha other than that i am doing good and healthy as far as i know :) i have actually been eating vegetables a lot lately :) maybe some of you will be proud to hear that ;)

Well that is all that i can think of for this week.... I love you all Palangga ko kamo!!!!! Nahidlaw ko kamo kag Remember who you are. always strive to be and do your best. I hope you all had a wonderful week and Sunday and were able to have a good time with the families :) Talk to you all next week and let you know how everything with being District Leader, Training, White washing an area and basi learning a new language goes!!!!!!! :) 😓

Keep Smiling :)

Pagpalangga,

Elder Merrill
