Ummm How was General Conference for you guys??? i get that it was last week for you all but since we are on the other side of the world we had to wait a week to be able to watch it pero IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT!!!! Wow this Conference was super amazing and i learned so much from it and i am so grateful to have the experience to watch and learn from all the wonderful people that have been called by God. So the talk " No greater joy than to know what they know" was one talk that really really got to me and i am sure it got to a lot of people as well... such a wonderful talk because it really kind of opens up our minds to if all our kids only knew about how much we know about the Gospel how much would they know? So to me as i thought about that it honestly hit me that honestly if that was the case i probably wouldn't know anything about this Gospel because i wasn't active in the Church at the time... and just from the story that Elder K. Brett Nattress gave about his mom and when he was a child how she would read the Book of Mormon every morning to them. It honestly really hit me and touched my heart cause when he talked about how he felt when he told his mother that he isn't listening to her I thought about my life and my parents and how i had pretty much said the same thing and done the same things that he had done with just sitting there reverently but not listening... and you know what I wish i had listened to my parents when they read the Scriptures to us and talked about the Gospel cause if our kids or we only knew what our parents knew about the Gospel i wouldn't know much because i didn't listen to them and I had realized that It's so important that we do and i wish i had realized that earlier in my life but I am learning now and am learning so much about this Gospel and i love this Gospel so much and the Book of Mormon and have made that decision that i want to be able to share my knowledge of the Gospel with my future family and kids. This response really hit me as well and i am sure it hit a lot of others and made me think about how important scripture study is and family reading is to do with our kids and our families because we are given so many great blessings as we do our family reading and it will help our kids and families growing up strong in this Gospel and as i asked myself that first question from the top i realized and made that goal to always strive to learn and learn from those who know more than i do and apply it and study it to be able to share it with my future family. “Son, was at meeting where President Marion G. Romney taught about the blessings of scripture reading. During this meeting, received promise that if would read the Book of Mormon to my children every day, would not lose them.”She then looked me straight in the eyes and, with absolute determination,said, “And will not lose you!”

but there was so much that i had learned from this conference and i would love to share more with you guys but maybe if i can later i will but i hope you guys learned a lot from conference and had an amazing time watching it and had a wonderful week and were able to have some questions or prayers answered :) I love you all and work this week has been a bit slow because we missed a day or two of work because i was injured Oh ya BTW i fell out/ jumped out of a moving truck last week and got cut up from it and sent some pictures of some places i got cut up :) but long story short Ok so after we got done emailing i got an email from our President to move houses immediately and so i called him and talked to him about it and so we started to move houses right after and there is a guy who delivers tubig to us and he helped us move all of our stuff and on the second trip to the house we started to move our beds and some cabinets and so we were in the back of this little pick up truck while the other members helping us were in the front and the wall of the bed of the truck was really loose so i stuck one foot out to hold it and put my arm on the inside of the cabinet where you hang clothes up and as we were driving we started going down hill and were going maybe 15 or 20mph but a thought popped in my head that i should take my arm out of the cabinet just in case mahulog sia and i need to jump out of the truck.. and i almost didn't do it cause i thought it was just me thinking things but i ended up taking my arm out as we started to go down this hill and as soon as i took my arm out the cabinet started to tip on me and to fall out of the truck so literally i just jumped out of the truck i don't know how i did cause one leg was out of the truck and the other kind of wedged in between the truck and the cabinet but i jumped out before the cabinet came with and i thought i would maybe be able to run as soon as i landed but nope... i just slammed straight to the ground tore up my hands my finger is hurt and my wrist and i smacked my knee and that got cut up and same with half my back and my whole body just hurt for two days after that... but ya mayroon madami akon sugat.... but it's getting better but i am just so lucky and thankful it wasn't much worse

Remember who you are! always keep striving to be your best and to put in your best. I love you guys and i miss you all tons!!! Palangga ko kamo!!!

Keep Smiling :)

Pagpalangga,

Elder Merrill
