August 7th 6months Down

6 months down! time really starts to fly out here in the field especially when you are busy and when you aren't your day just drags on and feels like 3 days have gone by in one. and also don't judge my english if i screw up or something cause i am the only american in the house and haven't spoken english for a week....  but anyway :) This title is a quote from a very very smart wise Prophet that i got named after :) Spencer W. Kimball "Dream beautiful dreams and then work to make those dreams come true." This is such a wonderful and inspirational quote, Because if we dream something or dream of wanting something we can make that dream come true through the work and effort we put into making it come true and Heavenly Father will bless us and help us as we show him our efforts into wanting that dream to come true. It's such an amazing thing to see and i have been seeing it happen in my life so far and out here in the Mission Field. Especially with like the gift of tongues, I set a dream and a goal to be fluent in this language and i am seeing that i am reaching my goal that i have set even though it is hard and i still struggle but i promise that as long as we truly want that dream and show Heavenly Father how much we want it he will help and once i realized that i have been striving more and more to work harder at the things i want and have dreamed beautiful dreams of. So my challenge to you guys is to ponder this quote and to apply this in your week this week and to Humbly ask Heavenly Father for his help and guidance and to reach out to reach your beautiful dream :)

This week has been interesting cause i finally got my new companion after being here for 5 months in my first area, woohoo!!! but my new companion is a filipino so are my kabahay ( i'm pretty sure this word is tagalog actually... my language Kabalay) ( housemates)  but ya so i don't hear english at all... so i honestly am a bit warn out from speaking Ilonggo and it is still a bit of an adjustment to be the only american in the house... But i am getting through it :) i mean i made it the first week, so i should be good for the next 5 weeks, right?? works been a little slow cause transfers this week and we have all been having to find new apartments to move into. But we are gonna be trackting all of our areas this week and start over fresh! also a little weird to be leading an area... Joke lang i have been leading for awhile actually... But i am super excited to work with him this transfer and to learn things from him!

Tani, we will have a baptism coming up here pretty soon actually! Her name is May, She is in her 20's and has a little daughter that is 3 years old and super super freaking cute but we have been teaching her since the first of July because they have to go to Church for a month here in the Philippines in order to get Baptized but she is progressing really well and has been taught everything now and has been keeping her commitments and has finally been reading more and prayed and know's that our Church is the true Church so we will be visiting her later this week, Either Tuesday or Wednesday and will extend her an Invitation for a Baptismal interview and get that set up this week!!! So should be exciting to have that. It will have been the first baptism in over a year in our area. So pray for us!! :)

I am pretty sure that is all for this week and i am sorry i forgot my camera at our house today... so again no pictures.... but i promise for sure that next week i will send some :) I love you all, Palangga gid ko kamo kag Naghidlaw ko kamo :) also i hope you all had a wonder week this week and had a wonder Sunday and time with your families and have a wonderful week this week :) Remember who you are.

Keep Smiling :)

Pagpalangga,

Elder Merrill
